Happy Easter everyone! Much has changed since we’ve posted these playlists, but the Savior is very much alive and working for his glory and our good! I still love the songs (all 25 of them) and this time of year. We will leave you with these words:
“But the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body.” Mark 16:6
We hope that you have a wonderful Easter remembering Christ’s sacrifice and rejoicing in his resurrection
We (and this is Liz, even though the post is attributed to Paul…who is away working on his ThM Thesis tonight) have been building this playlist for a while! Paul couldn’t even cut it down to our normal limit of ten songs, there are so many great ones to share with you. Take some time to listen through them—they are in order from the events of good Friday till after the resurrection—and remember to marvel in what your Savior did for you. Personally, I want to cry some when listening to “Behold the Lamb of God,” I want to shout “Hallelujah!” when listening to “See the Lamb of God,” and I want to raise my hands with joy during the final verse of “Glorious Day.” (There, if you don’t have much time, just listen to those three : )
Easter: that day which follows the harrowing of hell of Great and Holy Saturday; Easter, which turns a terrible Friday into Good Friday. …Easter completes the circle of blessing, and the joy of the completion remains, despite all the attempts of the powers of darkness to turn it into cursing. …The strange turning of what seemed to be a horrendous “No” to a glorious “Yes” is always the message of Easter.
(And yes, I am diligently working on a response to Paul’s marriage situation post. But with the amount of views that the page received over the past two days (alot—must have struck a nerve : ) I want to give my ideas an extra day or two to percolate in my mind. I’ll work to get a post up on Thursday!)
