Here are two more playlists, recapitulated:-)

I was reflecting today on the gift of salvation. As I watched Brenn and Jack play together (or fight together, as the case may be : ) I was reminded that their eternal souls are held in God’s hands. While I am responsible to present them with truth and pray for them daily, I rely on God to open their eyes to the grace and mercy found in Jesus Christ. A wonderful quote from my reading this morning out of the book “Give Them Grace” encouraged my heart.
“Here’s our hope: before time began God the Father saw us, each individually and distinctly. He not only saw us; he “knew ” us. This means that he was intimately acquainted with everything about us before we even existed. He chose us in him to have a relationship with him. He chose us as his children. But he didn’t do this because of any good he saw in us. In fact, all of us have absolutely nothing to boast about. He chose us out of his sheer grace and because he loves loving the unlovely. Because of his great love he deserves to be fully honored by us. This means that we transfer our entire trust (and keep transferring it over and over again) to him. This is faith. In the same way that you trust in him and not yourself for your salvation, you can trust in him for the salvation of your children.”
Paul and I created a playlist that focuses on the journey of salvation. From helpless sinner to sons and heirs with Christ (Rom 8:17). Enjoy!
Today we have another playlist based on “Songs for the Entrance.” They are songs about coming to Christ as helpless and condemned sinners to find mercy. The final song is for the rejoicing of the sinner made saints. So, those of you who believe in Christ, rejoice in the promises of the gospel. And those of who haven’t trusted on Christ’s death as payment for your sins, trust him today!
